Come, take English or Western horseback riding lessons, follow us on some of the neatest trail rides offered in our region, travel with us to regional Appaloosa shows! City of Cheyenne Parks And Recreation Horse Program

When: Every Saturday till end of April

Beginner 9:00 am Intermediate at 10:30 pm Adult at Noon

Where: At the Ranch

Ladies Only Riding Series

When: Every Sunday

Time: 12pm till 2pm

Where: At The Ranch

Cost: $35 per person on one of our lesson horses. $30 if you bring your own horse!

This clinic is designed for women only. Come out and learn rider chosen skills.

This is a clinic chosen and designed by you. Do you have something that you haven't been able to do with your horse? Are you stuck trying to figure out the next step with your horse? Do you just want some group socializing and riding time with a horse? Sign up for this session. We can help you get back in gear for the upcoming riding season.

 

ApHC Show Experience

When: June 1st - June 3rd 2012Tentative schedule..will update after the first of 2012

Where: Fonner Park Classic Grand Island, NE

Cost: We will split fuel. You will be responsible for all of your own costs for showing and boarding your horses and your family. This is gonna be a fun first showing weekend for us. come and learn how to show. We can help you learn basic showmanship skills all while putting points on your own horse. Don't have a horse to use but want to come try? Use one of ours. No experience necessary!

 

Fort Robinson, Nebraska Horse Camp

When: June 6th - June 9th 2012

Where: Fort Robinson, NE

This is an amazing equine adventure. We go almost every year into Fort Robinson State Park for two full days of horse education and two big trail rides. We leave Wednesday late morning to get into camp and get set up so that we will be ready for class first thing Thursday morning. Thursday is a full day of classes. Friday is Equine education and craft in the morning and a six mile trail ride in the afternoon as we move camp. Saturday is a long trail ride and pack up to come home. Don't schedule anything for Sunday because you will too exhausted to do it anyhow. No experience necessary! Drop off 10 am on the 6th. Pick up 6 pm on the 9th.

Nebraska Girl Scout Camp

When: June 10th - June 16th 2012

Where: Sidney, NE

Cost: TBA..contact me for details.

This will be a ton like camp at the Ranch. The pilot program in 2011 was a HUGE hit. We will be coming back again in 2012.  Come help me make it a "Ranch Adventure" for everyone We will be swimming, doing arts n crafts, feeding horses, riding horses and learning about horses. You will gain basic knowledge, understanding and safe handling of horses. You will learn basic horse care, basic horsemanship riding skills all while gaining, confidence, self respect, respect for others, enlightenment and discipline. Kids will have a profoundly fun experience. Sessions will be based on individual needs and therefore customized to each child. We welcome children and adolescents who have no previous horsemanship experience. Please email Cynthia Gill ASAP to schedule your daughter for this adventure. Classes will be full by end of March 2012.

 

Nebraska Girl Scout Camp Resident Camp Level I

When: June 17th - June 23rd 2012

Where: One Hour North of Omaha at Camp Crossed Arrows GSC

Cost: $375 all costs included

This will be a ton like camp at the Ranch. The pilot program in 2011 was a HUGE hit. We will be coming back again in 2012.  Come help me make it a "Ranch Adventure" for everyone We will be swimming, canoing, doing arts n crafts, feeding horses, riding horses, learning about horses and possibly Zip lining. You will gain basic knowledge, understanding and safe handling of horses. You will learn basic horse care, basic horsemanship riding skills all while gaining, confidence, self respect, respect for others, enlightenment and discipline. Kids will have a profoundly fun experience. Sessions will be based on individual needs and therefore customized to each child. We welcome children and adolescents who have no previous horsemanship experience. Email Heather Nelson to register your daughter. These camps will fill very fast.

 

Summer Camp

When: June 26th - June 28th 2012

Where: The Ranch

Cost: $100 per person. We will be swimming, doing arts n crafts, feeding horses, riding horses, learning about horses and Ranch life. You will gain basic knowledge, understanding and safe handling of horses. You will learn basic horse care, basic horsemanship riding skills all while gaining, confidence, self respect, respect for others, enlightenment and discipline. Kids will have a profoundly fun experience. Sessions will be based on individual needs and therefore customized to each child. We welcome children and adolescents who have no previous horsemanship experience. PArents may join their kids as well. This camp is three days, two nights (overnight camping). Drop off at 8am on the 26th. Pick up 3pm on the 28th.

 

Nebraska Girl Scout Camp

When: July 7th - July 21st 2012

Where: One Hour North of Omaha at Camp Crossed Arrows GSC

Cost: $375 each session. All Costs Included

This will be a ton like camp at the Ranch. This will be the pilot year for Horse Camp in Nebraska for the Girl Scouts. Come help me make it a "Ranch Adventure" for everyone.  We will be swimming, canoing, doing arts n crafts, feeding horses, riding horses, learning about horses and possibly Zip lining. You will gain basic knowledge, understanding and safe handling of horses. You will learn basic horse care, basic horsemanship riding skills all while gaining, confidence, self respect, respect for others, enlightenment and discipline. Kids will have a profoundly fun experience. Sessions will be based on individual needs and therefore customized to each child. We welcome children and adolescents who have no previous horsemanship experience. This trip out is actually two sessions back to back.The second session is a Level II for the student who has passed Level I.

Kids will have a profoundly fun experience. Sessions will be based on individual needs and therefore customized to each child. We welcome children and adolescents who have no previous horsemanship experience. Parents may join their children. This camp is three days, two nights (overnight camping). Drop off at 8am on the 26th. Pick up 3pm on the 28th.

Summer Camp -TRAIL CAMP -

When: August 7th - August 9th 2012

Where: The Ranch

Cost: $180 per person. This is our specialized camp for people who have been riding in our program for a while. We will be doing a trail ride off the Ranch each day of this camp. This is an exhausting camp for everyone. Do Not plan anything for two days afterwards. This camp requires my prior aproval to attend. We have ridden in places like Rocky Mountain National Park, Veedawoo, Pine Bluffs, Horsetooth Mountain Park. Camp does include food. This camp is three days, two nights (overnight camping). Drop off at 8am on the 9th. Pick up 3pm on the 11th

Lessons in Fort Collins, Colorado

When:Three days a week during cold months

Time:Email for an appointment

Where: Various barns along the Front Range

Cost: To be negotiated at time of reservation. Will depend on number of people in sessions.

Build confidence with your horse. This class is designed for people to just gain more confidence while on the back of a horse. We will cover the basics of ground and riding control. We will cover the communication network horses have with each other and with their handlers/riders. We will start developing your muscle memory. We will demonstrate and begin utilizing the eight step program for rhythm and feel.
